This repo is a signpost, the working install command targets the aaron-marketing-skills bundle instead.
This repository used to hold a standalone set of 20 skills for AI coding assistants that helped with search engine optimization and what the author calls generative engine optimization, meaning optimizing content so AI systems cite it. It is now a signpost pointing elsewhere: active development has moved to a larger sibling repository called aaron-marketing-skills, which bundles 16 updated SEO and GEO skills alongside skills from six other marketing disciplines, all sharing one shared set of rules and quality checks. The older 20-skill version that used to live in this repo is preserved unchanged at a tagged release, so anyone who already installed it keeps a working copy, but new installs should come from the bundle instead. The 16 current skills are organized into four stages: survey, implement, tune, and evaluate. Survey skills cover keyword research, competitor analysis, search results analysis, and finding gaps in existing content. Implement skills include writing content, optimizing content for AI citation, building structured markup for search results, and building landing pages. Tune skills audit content quality, technical SEO issues, on-page SEO, and site structure. Evaluate skills check domain authority, track search rankings, monitor performance, and analyze signals from outside the site such as backlinks. The README includes a table mapping each of the old 20 skills to where its functionality now lives in the new bundle, noting that some were merged together and a couple of new capabilities, like a page-builder skill, did not exist in the old line at all. Installation happens through the umbrella bundle rather than this repository directly. For Claude Code, you add the marketplace and install the plugin with two commands. For more than 70 other supported AI coding tools, including Codex, Cursor, and Gemini CLI, a single command line tool called npx skills can install the whole bundle or just one specific skill by name. The README does not state a license for either this repository or the bundle it points to.
A signpost repository whose SEO and GEO agent skills for AI coding tools now live in a larger sibling bundle, aaron-marketing-skills.
Setup difficulty is rated easy, with roughly 5min to a first successful run.
