The main way to use it is entirely through natural language inside a Codex conversation, after installing the accompanying plugin. You can simply say things like install Codex Skin, use this image to customize Codex Skin, list installed skins, switch to a named skin, verify the current skin and take a screenshot, or restore the official Codex appearance. You attach an image directly to the conversation rather than copying it into a specific folder yourself, and the skill handles installation, saving, applying, and verifying the theme, asking for confirmation first if restarting Codex is required. This works on both macOS and Windows, with each platform running its own set of safety scripts behind the scenes. A Codex Skin.command file is also created on macOS as a manual fallback entry point if you prefer not to use natural language. On macOS, the underlying engine is installed to a folder under your home directory, and your images, saved themes, and logs are stored in Application Support. The skin process does not read or modify Codex's own config.toml file.
