MpvRx-CN is a Chinese language localization of an existing Android video player app called mpvRx, which itself is a fork of another project called mpvEx that wraps the mpv media player for Android. This repository is a personal translation project by an independent contributor and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the original mpvRx developer or team. The maintainer took the v1.5.0-preview.2 release of mpvRx and translated its interface fully into Chinese, building on a Chinese string file the original author had already partly prepared. Compared to the original app, this version removes the sponsorship and donation section from the settings screen, removes automatic update checking while keeping a manual check-for-updates button, and points the GitHub repository link to this fork so users can find future updates to the translated version. The project does not change any of the app's underlying functionality or code logic. It only modifies the text shown in the interface. Because of this, the maintainer asks that functional bugs be reported to the original mpvRx project instead of here, and reserves this repository's issue tracker for problems caused specifically by the translation itself, such as a feature that works in the original app but breaks in the localized version. Documentation included in the repository covers the original project's features and build instructions translated into Chinese, a full changelog from version v1.4.1-final through v1.5.0-preview.2, and a guide to mpvRx's Lua and JavaScript scripting interface with example code. The project is released under the Apache License 2.0, the same license as the original. This is aimed at Chinese speaking Android users who want to use the mpvRx video player with a fully localized interface, rather than developers looking to build new features.
A community Chinese translation of the mpvRx Android video player app, with sponsorship prompts and auto-update checks removed.
