Wtf does this do

ai-guru is a personal tutor that can teach almost any subject, from languages and math to history, music, cooking, finance, exams, or professional skills. Instead of teaching at a level you assume you are at, it starts by figuring out your real starting point, then builds a plan around that. The tool works in four modes. Mastery mode aims at working competence for jobs or interviews and ends with something you could show someone in the field. Exam prep mode targets a specific test or certification and finishes with a timed mock exam scored by error type. Overview mode is for understanding a topic without practicing it, ending in a short briefing you could actually deliver. Hobby mode is just for curiosity, with no fixed endpoint. The process starts with a quick intake about your topic, goal, and available time, followed by a three question diagnostic to find your actual level. From there it builds a module plan you can reorder, skip, or extend. Each module follows the same pattern: it explains a concept, asks you to explain it back in your own words, quizzes you, and re-teaches anything you get wrong instead of moving past it. Every path ends with something concrete, such as a project, a performance, an essay, a mock exam, or teaching the topic back yourself. It installs as a plugin for Claude Code, as a skill file you can upload in claude.ai's settings, or simply by copying a prompt file into any AI chat tool, so no coding is required to use it. The project is licensed under PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0, meaning it is free to use, copy, share, and adapt for personal or educational purposes, but commercial use needs permission from the author.
