Requires Claude Code and its bundled Playwright browser, an optional Apify token can auto-collect job URLs.
Dear Hiring Manager is a plugin for Claude Code, Anthropic's coding assistant, that fills out job applications on your behalf. Instead of writing the same answers over and over on different company career sites, you set up a profile once, and the tool reuses it to fill out forms automatically. Setup starts with an onboarding step that interviews you about your background: your contact details, links to LinkedIn, GitHub, and a portfolio, your address, work authorization status, answers to standard equal opportunity questions, target job titles and level, years of experience, salary expectations, and a minimum score for how good a job match needs to be before it is worth applying. All of this gets saved locally in a plain text file you can open and edit yourself at any time. From there, you can point it at a single job posting and it will judge how well you fit the role, then fill in the application form, flagging anything it was unsure about in red for you to review. It also supports working through a whole list of job links at once, opening each in its own browser tab, filling what it safely can, and marking anything blocked, like a login wall or a CAPTCHA, without stopping the rest of the batch. It can also draft a tailored cover letter for a specific posting. Importantly, the tool never clicks the final Submit button itself, never tries to get past a CAPTCHA, and never answers a legal or equal opportunity question you have not confirmed yourself. All of your data, including your resume and application history, stays in local files on your machine rather than being sent to a cloud service, and an optional integration can pull in job links automatically from a scraping service if you provide your own account for it. This is aimed at people actively job hunting who are tired of repetitive form filling, and it keeps a human in control of the one step that matters most, actually pressing send.
A Claude Code plugin that automatically fills job application forms and drafts cover letters from your saved profile, leaving the final Submit click to you.
Setup difficulty is rated easy, with roughly 30min to a first successful run.
Mainly general.
