Requires an existing TorBox account and API key.
TorBox is a desktop application that works as a companion to an online service also called TorBox, which handles cloud based torrent downloads and web downloads. Instead of managing your TorBox account through a web browser, this app gives you a native window on your computer where you can see and control everything in one place. Once you connect the app to your TorBox account using an API key, you can add magnet links or web URLs and the app will show you the progress of each download, including how many seeds and peers are involved. You can pause, resume, or retry any cloud download or local file transfer straight from the interface. A key part of what this tool does is bridging the cloud and your machine. TorBox itself downloads files to cloud storage, and this app lets you browse those finished downloads, pick the files you actually want, and either grab direct links or pull them down to your own computer as local transfers. There are filters and search so you can quickly find active, inactive, or errored downloads by name. You also get some practical controls over how downloads behave: you can choose where files are saved, how many downloads run at the same time, and set a bandwidth cap so it does not use up all your internet connection. The interface itself is dark by default, with the option to switch to light mode or match your system setting. Getting started is simple: create a TorBox account, copy the API key from that account, paste it into the app's settings, and then add your first magnet link or web URL. The project is released under the MIT license, so it is free and open for anyone to use or build on. This is a small, focused tool rather than a full torrent client of its own, since it depends entirely on having an active TorBox account to do the actual downloading.
