wtf is oixcloud-external-proxy-program?

This project is a macOS menu bar app that connects an oixCloud proxy subscription to Surge, a well known proxy client for Mac. Instead of manually copying node lists or editing configuration files, everything except logging into your oixCloud account is handled automatically from a small cloud icon in the menu bar. Installation is a single terminal command that detects your Mac's chip type and macOS version and downloads the matching binary, verifying it is properly signed before installing it to a system folder. Once installed, you run it with a tray flag to start it temporarily, or set it up as a background service so it starts automatically every time you log in. After that, everything happens through the cloud icon menu: logging in with an access token or email and password, connecting to Surge for the first time, and afterward switching between proxy nodes without needing to reconnect. The menu is organized into four groups. The account group shows your current plan, expiration date, data usage, and balance, and lets you log in or out. The nodes group can automatically pick the fastest available node, test latency across all nodes with a color coded result, or let you pick manually. The connection settings group controls local port numbers, whether the app starts at login, whether other devices on the same network can share the proxy, and whether it operates in a multi port mode, where each node gets its own local port, or a single port mode where nodes are switched from the menu. A tools group offers a one click diagnostic check and handles checking for and installing updates. The app also supports keeping your existing Surge configuration untouched by only swapping out the node list URL, and it lets you merge your own custom Surge rules and proxy groups into the generated configuration file without them being overwritten on refresh. Credentials are stored locally in a permissions restricted configuration file, and passwords themselves are never saved once an access token has been obtained.
