Requires an existing ComfyUI setup and running Pose Studio from an open browser session for capture sync.
Jakkanna is a set of add-on tools for ComfyUI, a visual workflow editor that artists and developers use to build AI image generation pipelines. Jakkanna focuses on giving creators precise control over 3D posing, camera framing, lighting, and composition when generating images with AI models. It grew out of an earlier project called VNCCS Utils and keeps the same internal names so that older projects built on that tool keep working, even though Jakkanna is now maintained on its own separate path. The project is named after Jakanachari, a legendary sculptor, reflecting its goal of giving creators exact control over form, movement, and framing rather than leaving those details to chance. Jakkanna is meant to replace the older VNCCS Utils package rather than run alongside it, and it deliberately removed a fallback rendering path from the original project so that the pose you see in your browser always matches what gets used in the final image. Two main pieces make up Jakkanna. Pose Studio is a 3D posing tool that runs inside a ComfyUI node, where you can move a character's body, adjust joints, change body proportions like age, weight, and height, set up camera framing and lighting, and save multiple poses to reuse later. Jakkanna Canvas is a separate infinite canvas workspace for image editing, letting you work across layers, generate new content in any selected region, paint masks, and use object selection tools to isolate or remove parts of an image. The project is aimed at people who already use ComfyUI for AI image generation, especially those running older VNCCS based workflows who want fixes without rebuilding their setup, or anyone who needs the pose and camera data to stay perfectly consistent between what is rendered and what is exported. If someone only needs simple 2D keypoint editing and has no VNCCS workflows already, a smaller, dedicated pose editor might suit them better. The README notes this project is community maintained and separate from the original VNCCS project it was built from.
A ComfyUI add-on for precise 3D character posing, camera framing, and an infinite-canvas layer editor for AI image generation.
Mainly JavaScript. The stack also includes JavaScript, Python, ComfyUI.
Setup difficulty is rated hard, with roughly 1h+ to a first successful run.
